    Candidates for the most deceivingly poor wins-to-fights ratio, rather than best HW with relatively poor records, include:

    Ted Lowry - 73-68-10 - despite only being a natural LHW, he took Marciano the distance twice, with some reporting he deserved one of the decisions, drew with Lee Savold, dropped an SD to Tiger Jack Fox, beat and drew with Billy Fox, dropped an MD to the 20lbs heavier Lee Q Murray, took rounds from Archie Moore in going through distance and beat Aaron Wade. There are plenty of boxers with far more pleasing paper records who weren't at Lowry's level.

    Bob Stallings - 32-31 - holds wins over Mac Foster, Earnie Shavers and Billy Daniels.
