    Holmes, Klitschko, and Liston.

    That is the conversation.

Yeah because Holmes fought in such a strong era himself yet you're completely writing Klitschko off due to his level of compitition?

Wlad in 2003 was not the Wlad of today who fights with a pefect jab. I cannot believe, that some people don´t realize it.

If anything he had a better jab then, he was in his physical prime, more speed etc.

Good posting. I personally think Liston's jab is very strong and accurate It sets up every other punch basically.
Holmes is probably the best though. He has it all; Power, Speed, Reach, Accuracy, everything.
Since he sparred with Ali, maybe there's a resemblance there..?

That's the point - it's not just the jab that's effective, it's the size. The Holmeses and Listons of this world are possibly more efficient with their jabs, and that's without the manic size advantages over their opponents. They achieve great things with speed, accuracy, timing. Wlad does it with those things, but it's also his size that gets him there.

I'm not saying he doesn't have a great jab, but it's easy for it to look misleadingly good when he's prodding it out from atop the tower on some fat, clumsy plodder.

It does look slow to me. As for him being a heavyweight, if he came around today, he would have a career similar to Haye's in terms of weight: he'd start at CW. Lewis, Wlad and others jab faster yet have 30lbs of muscle and 5 inches in height on him.

That looks slow to you? What kind of standards are you applying? How many Heavyweight jabs are faster than that? Certainly don't think Lewis and Wlad have clearly faster jabs.

I've never seen any heavyweight double and triple the jab like Golota, and land. It was an amazingly fast jab for a man his size.
