    That stubbornness that Hagler shows toward Leonard is the same trait that made him a great champion. In Hagler's defense Ray is a bit of a weasel.

    Ray is, but that was Hagler downfall. Marvin was an honest guy who believed Ray was his friend, and after the fight he seemed to realize Ray was bullshitting him talking like they were friends.
