But who do you think made more money for their first professional fight. Taylor or Chavez. That is my point

that's the first Ive heard about feeling weakened

why would he take the fight if he didnt fit the weight and his title wasnt at stake?

this can only mean youre making excuses again

and besides that, how can a professional fighter be weakened by the second and third rounds?

the reality is Ray had experienced physical and psychological trauma early on (courtesy of Terry's hand speed)

a blazing right left to the head

a left hook to the jaw, followed by a trip to the canvas

and yet more trauma in the third (courtesy of a Norris uppercut!)

so you see, it was a well placed fist in his mouth that did him in before fatigue even had a chance to set in!

    you didnt read it right

I said IF Ray had taken the first few rounds of the fight, and later Norris took over, could you claim Ray lost due to fatigue

you dont lose a fight in the early rounds from fatigue

    and forget the calf injury

    there was no calf injury

that's Ray's personal excuse for the embarassment he suffered at the hands of Camacho

Ray never could handle hand speed, that's why he needed a whole 6 years for Hagler

Isn't that what I said about Duran. People say he was out of shape, but Duran lost from the beginning. Ray seemed weak for Norris. That is just my opinion,. He looked drained at 154.

no one doubts Terry's handspeed and heart. I liked him as a fighter. The way he turned the Simon Brown fight from a 3 round loss into a 12 round decision. I think his chin was pretty bad, and had Ray landed a good punch it could have been very different. But Norris was too fast for Ray. As they said almost a mirror image of a young Ray. Ray was 34 I think in 1991 and Norris was I think 23...

Those are not the official punch stats. They are video edited where one person picks what landed and what missed.

In terms of punch stats, they usually pick the winner, something like 85%-90% of the time in distance fights with no knockdowns. While not an official judge, of course, they are often better than that 3rd judge who's scorecard is sent in from Mars. Punch stats are also excellent exposing bad judging in certain rounds where fighter "A" greatly out lands fighter "B", in a round but get shafted by a judge who's watching his or her " math " A recent example is in Kovalev vs Ward 1, round 10.

Let's call a spade a spade. Many Hagler fans remain upset to various degrees. Blame him for his decisions and tactics, and know you if you think he won you're in the minority on every scoring medium as to who won it. Official judges, media cards, punch stats, and fan majority polls all say SRL won the fight. Leonard had won just one fight in five years and had three years of ring rust in addition to an eye injury coming into the Hagler fight.

There isn't much more else to say except the loss still upsets Hagler to this day.

    Leonard WON THE FIGHT.

but Ray DID land a good punch!

round 2, he landed full force and nothing happened

again round 11, with a series of 6 straight shots all clean to the head

    and Norris didnt blink

it's not my fault you missed it.

once again, you attempt to make excuses and all of them failed
