Sergei Dzindziruk - 36-0 returns in March against Alfred Angulo. Angulo will get schooled. If you have not seen Sergei Dzindziruk, take a look at his title winning effort against Daniel Santos in 2005. He dominated him. He has been out a year due to managerial issues but is returning under US management. If Sergio Martinez surprised you with his ability, be ready to see Sergei Dzindziruk take the best jr. middles in the world into deep water, including Paul Williams.
I'm not sure. He's been inactive for a long time and he's probably slowed down a bit. I think he'll have difficulty boxing off the back foot and he's probably have to approach the fight similar to how he did against Santos. High guard, jabbing, bouncing in and out of range with some good head movement. But Angulo's actually got the reach advantage; Sergiy has incredibly short arms for somebody his height. And I think after a year of inactivity, he may be in the pocket too long with Angulo who should look to hit the body and slow him further. Also, I don't think Dzinziruk is the best 154. He used to be very good but he's been inactive for a while and the Santos win was 4 years ago. I think Martinez would beat him, though he might have trouble trying to break down that high guard.
I agree, his inactivity is an issue as well as his age (34 in March). However, if he is able to regain the form he had in 2005 to 2007, I believe he can beat anyone at 154. He looked very good in his last fight against Joel Julio. A tough slugger by any estimation. I believe the Angulo fight would look like the Julio fight.
