He beat Rocky Lockridge, Juan LaPorte, Greg Haugen, Ruben Castillo, Ivan Robinson, Roger Mayweather, Edwin Rosario, Hector Camacho and Meldrick Taylor. I wouldn't say the resume is weak.

The first one was an absolute shocker. Probably up there with Tyson v Douglas in some way.
Frankie wasn't really given a chance, even though Chavez was clearly slowing down.
    And to actually drop JCC!!
    Now that was shocking.

First fight is great alot of action, Chavez also gets knocked down for the first time in his career which is shocking.

As much as I like Chavez, the 2nd fight Randall was very hard done by in that one. I'll let you watch it and form your own opinion on that.

3rd fight both fighters are completely washed up, but it's an ok fight.

Another fight from late in Chavez's career, when he was past his prime I didn't find too bad. Was his fight vs Miguel Angel Gonzalez, fairly good fight and very competitive.

Agree. This is one of my favorite Chavez fights. IMO he displays in this fight everything that made him great: constant pressure, great footwork, tremendous body punches, and pinpoint accuracy in his punches.

I would argue Pernell Whitaker has a strong case, if you don't count the bogus draw vs Chavez or the bogus loss vs Ramirez in the 1st fight. He arguably was 42-0 when he fought Oscar De Hoya with half of those 42 fights being title fights.

Floyd schooled your boy far worse than Whitaker schooled Chavez.

He's in the argument but an over his prime weight, declining Chavez held a prime Pea to a draw.

Yes but no one in there right mind scores that a draw, amongst boxing fans it's always considered a W for Whitaker which isn't even debatable. And you could also use the same argument for Whitaker, his best weight was Lightweight.

But sorry i don't want to turn this into Whitaker/Chavez debate.

    Totally inaccurate.

Go ahead list me all the great fighters Whitaker beat. Chavez is the greater fighter by solid margin.

That was a methodical, beating and I was surprised Camacho didn't quit on his stool like Mayweather or Fuentes. Julio had heavy hands. A knack for making good fighters quit on their stools. Had Meldrick Taylor had a smarter, classier corner they would have retired Meldrick after the 11th. He had a future still bright. Duva was too small minded.

Pretty damn strong. Even his 2nd line wins were impressive.

I had fight party at my house for Tyson/Ruddock. Chavez was on the undercard fighting an undefeated boxer named John Duplesis, Super D!. He was about 25-0. Quick, mobile, confident. Some dude before the fight saw his highlights and record and offered $100 on Duplesis before even seeing Chavez record which was at the time about 75-0. I took the bet this dude **** his pants when Chavez was introduced. He cut the ring and literally ran Super D out of the ring. Easiest most relaxed bet I ever won.
