Sugar Ray beat LaMotta several times despite being under or around the welterweight limit while Jake was at the middleweight limit.
What if Ray fought Hagler, Monzon, Golovkin or whoever else with such a weight discrepancy, who’s the best he could beat ?

Robinson was past his best most of his stay at 160 pounds so this brings in fighters he may handled otherwise ..I think he'd have crucified Gennady Golovkin, too fast , too many combos and Golovkin would never find Ray . Hagler? I think they'd split two fights , two 15 round thrillers,..Monzon? Hard for me to judge how his style would affect Robinson, if he can't establish his jab, which I think is a likely , Robinson takes a solid UD.. Of course with fighters of this class the results of these matches can hardly be called an upset

Pre-retirement Robinson that 1949-52. He would have a shot to beat Dick Tiger.
