Some of my favorites, in no particular, order were:

Thiago Tavares vs. Tyson Griffin- disagreed with decision, but great match

David Abbott vs. Oleg Taktarov- "no fish-hooking" made its first appearance in the rules after this fight

Hughes vs. Trigg I- great wrestler vs. wrestler fight

Cung Le vs. Frank Shamrock- Out with the old in with the new, or is it a different fight if Frank learns proper way to defend kick and avoid a broken arm? The back and forth of the 3rd was awesome.

I'll contribute some of my candidates ...

-Dan Severn vs. Tank Abbot - Severn battered, ends up choking out an exhausted Abbot

-Couture vs. Belfort (1) - Couture, despite being the a HUGE underdog, outboxes and outwrestles the young Phenom, stopping him

-Royce Gracie vs. Kimo - Gracie, despite some difficulty, pulls out the armbar

-Keith Hackney vs. Emanuel Yarbarough - One of the most ridiculous matches in history, must see television. Hackney overcomes HUGE size disadvantage.

-Yves Edwards vs. Josh Thompson - The most ridiculous head kick knockout I have ever seen. Wow.

Severn beat Abbott by boring decision, and was never battered. I believe you're thinking of Don Frye vs. Tank Abbott. It was brief, but sounds more like what you described.

Yeah, good fight but those two *******s were both exhausted. Cyborg didn't even know he lost. He was still tryin to win after he had already been deemed KO'd. Pretty good.

Classic Vale Tudo that one. Watching this fight should inspire anyone to want to fight - because Macaco and Pele's women are FINE!
