    Uchiyama comes forward and jabs. Vasquez skips away and flicks his own left jab. Uchiyama presses in, catching Vasquez's jab on his forearm or letting it graze past his neck. Uchiyama is putting the straight jab into Vasquez's chest, and reaching with a couple of right hands to the head. Vasquez takes a lunging step forward after being nearly trapped on the ropes, flicking a double jab. He falls in with an overhand right, then pushes off Uchiyama and circles away. Uchiyama catches him on the brow with a jab. Vasquez tries an overhand from outside but gets blocked. Left hook, right hand combo by Vasquez - too far away and unable to close the distance with his feet while throwing. Body shot by Uchiyama. Nice body combo at the end by Vasquez.

    Close 1st round. Uchi with the cleaner, more effective work but Vasquez was much busier.
