If you took three zeroes off that I'd have gone for Sonny but as it stands i gotta go Lewis now.

Imagine Sonny with $,1,000,000,000.00. I'd look for some partners and buy a sports team.

Sonny cops a beating on the end of Lewis’s jab all night and is fed an uppercut by the 10th that rearranges his face. He’s a better boxer and he’s just a lot bigger/stronger. It’s one of those match ups where one guy has EVERY advantage besides the stuff that won’t come into play.

Close one especially considering Lewis is a man with size advantage who knows how to use it... unlike Wepner, and the other big men Liston faced. However they had the same reach so that may negate Lewis's size advantage to a degree.

Gun to my head, give me Liston. I really like his advantages in power, durability, boxing imho (especially mid-range), inside game, jab, and perhaps most crucially adaptability.

However, if Lewis wins I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised.

Lennox at his best but a highly motivated and trained Liston would be a very dangerous opponent with the jab, reach and power ...

I think it somewhat resembles Lewis vs Mercer. A hard hitting bruising fight by two very physical heavyweights.

Good assumption. IMHO the most crucial aspect is the ref. Will he allow Lewis to lean on, holding, stiff arming etc. or warn Lewis early and consequntialy deduct points for his fouls?

Lennox Lewis in a fairly quick and brutal manner.

Liston feasted on heavyweights who wouldn't be any more threatening today than Joe Smith Jr. (who weighs in the high 180s low 190s when the bell rings).

It may not last as long as the Lewiston fight.

I’m not in a hurry to pick a guy who quit and lost in the first round against the only guy he faced who was at or above Lewis’ level.

I think Lewis figures him out over the first couple and breaks him down over 10 or so rounds. He could be a really intelligent fighter, which backed with his immense power, strength and control of range would be a Rubik's Cube Liston would not figure out.

If Sonny doesn't comply, gets too dangerous over the first couple, there is a high likelihood that Lewis sparks him out.
