Name the single best ever performance from this list of ATGs. Think of each fighter at the peak of their powers and name one performance only.

    Sugar Ray Robinson:
    Henry Armstrong:
    Joe Louis:
    Muhammad Ali:
    Roberto Duran:
    Ezzard Charles:
    Sugar Ray Leonard:
    Manny Pacquiao:
    Floyd Mayweather:
    Roy Jones:
    Jose Napoles:
    Marvin Hagler:

Feel free to add some more ATGs in addition to the ones above.

Sugar Ray Robinson: Allegedly not filmed, or not readily available on film, but LaMotta VI is as astonishing as anything I've seen.
Henry Armstrong: Defo not filmed...not sure which one i'd picked of the filmed fights tbh.
    Joe Louis: Buddy Baer II.
    Muhammad Ali: Cleveland Williams
    Roberto Duran: Ray Leonard I
Ezzard Charles: Probably not filmed, but Lloyd Marshall II is a good answer here.
    Sugar Ray Leonard: Tommy Hearns
    Manny Pacquiao: Ricky Hatton
    Floyd Mayweather: Diego Corrales
    Roy Jones: James Toney
Jose Napoles: Ooff, would need to have a think about that.
    Marvin Hagler: Alan Minter

I always thought Bryant Brannon was RJJ’s Cleveland Williams fight. Both Ali & RJJ had better wins/opposition, but they looked damn near superhuman in these fights.

I thought Hagler peaked against Tony Sibson. I guess I’d go with Diego Corrales for Floyd, although you can argue Arturo Gatti or Philip Ndou.

Roberto Duran’s best performance was Montreal, although his performance in the Esteban Dejesus rubber match is up there too. He had Dejesus swinging at air all night.

I’d go with either of Manny Pacquiao’s fights in 09’ (Ricky Hatton and Miguel Cotto).

JC Chavez peaked in the Edwin Rosario fight.

For SRR it's gotta be Jimmy Doyle, he literally killed the guy.
And no way it was Tommy for SRL.
Tommy was winning that fight and out-boxing SRL until he gassed out in the latter rounds.

Coming from behind in a fight where you are out-matched physically to score a searing late KO against an all-time great fighter is, of course, as astonishing and admirable a feat as can be executed in boxing. It almost never happens. So rare is it, that the enormous significance absolutely passes some people by...
