I agree on Gamboa and Mares, their my top choices. It's likely that they will all win some kind of title, as it's not really that hard to do now, but Gamboa and Mares have shown signs of potential greatness.

Mares and Ortiz are well rounded so will be probably have a better more consistent career in the long run.

Gamboa is the most exciting prospect but he will seriously have to tighten up his defence to become p4p.

Untill i see how Khan's chin and heart stand up to good punch and sustained attack i will have to hold out judgment untill then.

**** list...How do you have a list without Bazooka Banal who at 17 was the best prospect in the world and at 19 is about to win the WBA super Fly belt in two weeks. Thats happening in two weeks! not some what ifs someday

Danny Jacobs will be something, Ive been rooting for him for a few years now since his amatuer days and he will get the better or Ward, I'm sure of it.

I also like Mares the best out of the bunch listed. His management team has brought him along perfectly. Just the right amount of activity against the right opponents. This is crucial for a fighters development and is overlooked a lot of times by fans. He has the right team, skill set and most importantly discipline.

Discipline being the biggest difference between him and Gamboa. Gamboa has already had to change trainers because of "differences" and has been knocked down also. He definitely has the most physical gifts, but possibly not the right mentality. If you look at 99% of the fighters that have defected from Cuba in the past twenty or so years, you will find that most of them were extremely gifted, but could not make the transition to living in a free society where the temptations are so vast to take you out of the proper lifestyle and training habits to be a professional fighter.

Really the only one that has been able to do it is Casamayor. The rest have faded into opponent status.

Yuriorkis Gamboa is good but not young 27 only 10 fights, and many Cuban fighters (baseball players) lie about their age. I hope I am wrong though but...

BTW his next opponent is a joke (Rojas) he has been fighting 0-5 ,0-9 guys lately.
