Can anyone think of any more examples of some bad commentators curses's? For example I was watching the macklin vs elcock fight the other week and at the start of the 3rd my mate asked what I thought & I said macklins started well but think elcocks skill will come thru. Then bang! as soon as i shut up macklin finished him off-nice!!?

    I'm off-topic a bit here, but...

I tried to google a list of Teddy Atlas Curses and haven't found a compiled list yet, but I did find:
"Nikolay Valuev, the towering 7-foot, 325 lbs heavyweight, has become the latest victim of the "Marciano Curse," losing both his WBA title and undefeated record in an upset to Ruslan Chagaev on Saturday.Marciano’s record was finalized when he retired as the undefeated heavyweight champion in 1956, his last fight being a ninth round TKO over Archie Moore. In the 50 years since Marciano’s retirement, many heavyweights have come close but have fallen short."
    :rofl
...yeah, because Valuev was just a hair's width from being a good comparison to Marciano. Good lord.

Sweet stuff. Not a commentator, but Stone has provided some scintilating TV. How'd you like to be be Ruiz coming back to the corner for guidance in a tough fight and being told "Get out and fight this ****ing guy!". What a corner! [And I don't think they had any highlights from the Golata fight when he was thrown out of the corner.]

"Burger King, Burger King!! Don King kiss my ass!!"

I remember them, after that, saying something like, "It was a slip and not a count, but it served its purpose!" :huh Beats me what that purpose would be.

I don't remember which fight, but Lampley was discussing the final punch stats numbers, and he was going "40% of the punches from fighter A were power shots, and 45% of his opponent's punches were powershots..... wow, amazing, 95% of the punches during this fight were power punches!" :rofl

This exchang from the Tito-Joppy fights ALWAYS cracks me up.

round 4 After Joppy is dropped toward the end of the round

Foreman: The referee's really looking good now
Merchant: Give William Joppy credit he's standing up to the most deadly puncher in the game.
LAMPLEY: All the courage in the world
FOREMAN: Well he's not really standing Larry
Merchant: He's wobbling up to him

    ALL 3 just crack up........Hilarious:rofl
