Let's assume the impossible for a second. What if Wlad got into trouble by Chisora. What if Wlad for a change doesn't look dominating? Heck, what if he gets knocked down on route to a dull and less than impressive UD victory. Can you imagine how quickly Povetkin, Valuev and Haye would come out of the wood works and demand an immediate fight? This is really the best thing that could possibly come out of this fight. The worse Wlad looks the better the potential matchups in 2011. The more devastating and dominating he looks the less potential opposition will be available next year.
I don't think Wlad looking terrible would help any. Wlad looking great would. And by great I don't mean a one sided domination. I mean that if we actually saw Wlad in a real fight. One where he gets as good as he gives, but emerges triumphant...a fight of the year candidate type thing. But that ain't happening with Chisora. It probably won't happen ever. Wlad is not the fight of the year type, he only has one way of fighting, and for him either it works perfectly, or completely fails. It's never really a close one with him because he's really good at setting the pace.
Wlad should seriously be able to knock out Chisora within 2 rounds. I wouldn't even give Chisora a punchers chance - hes not that heavy handed ans slaps a bit so Wlad should be able to open up on him without to much fear. This fight is a worse mismatch than Haye-Harrison.
So let me get this straight... A true champion with a crapload of successful title defenses, looking horrible against (or being beat by) an unworthy opponent, will draw out a bunch of spineless ducks... and this will be good for the HW division? Aight.
Chisora is black. Good for the HW division. LOL. Of course, the NBA and NFL excuse wiol go out the window.
