I suspect he is hoping for Real v Barcelona together in the semi as Messi v Ronaldo could impact on the SBO buys e.g. people watching the footy, but not wanting to pay £15 around 10.00pm

I suspect an all German final would suit him best as it would only impact on Sauderland's TV deals. people may be more inclined to pay to watch the boxing earlier.

In fairness I was thinking watching it last night that Hearn would be hoping for an all kraut final instead of Messi v Ronaldo with extra time and pens.

A Madrid V Barcelona final is what id want…

Sky will hype the **** out of it and drag Froch v Kessler along for the ride.

It will get loads of casual interests, and there is a good chance groups of mates will get together and make an evening of it. Football followed by boxing.

I imagine all the pubs/clubs with late licences will be doing double headers to… Champions League Final & Boxing.

    Happy days.

What people are'nt realising is, the majority of people will watch the champions league final on ITV rather than Sky. So the captive audience have ITV adverts.

He would want a real vs barca fina,l as it will have bigger viewing figures and sky will have kessler/froch promos at every break.

i am guessing pubs would advertise it as a double header too.

The Kessler vs froch fight doesn't start till after midnight so even if it goes to extra time etc it won't impact on ppv buys as hardcore fans will get the ppv no matter what and casual fans will only know and care about the froch vs Kessler fight.

What's the going rate for pubs for Sky Box Office events these days? Depending on that plus the fact that even on Saturdays most pubs still shut at 12-1am could mean most won't bother if the ringwalk is delayed to as late as possible - as would be most suitable after the football.

This. Sky need to stop charging a premium for HD for those who take sports/movies. ITV need to lock Andy Townsend in a shed and bring back Ron "Mr Bojangles" Atkinson.
