I'm just telling facts. Do the experiment yourself. Wait a week, and post James Toney vs GGG

you'll get the same results. WLad was voted better than ali by a massive stretch. You see it in the classic forum all the time.

Ward was favoured with great privilege throughout his entire career, just like a multitude of Americans currently are .. so quit the woe is me **** , sell it somewhere else

Yeah ward definitely would NOT have agreed to all those terms but he sure as hell liked demanding them in the vast majority of his fights didn’t he?! Lol! Come to think of it… andre never ever fought a championship fight outside the US did he???

Meh… not everyone is cut like Usyk and Beterbiev. :cool1:

Like I've said before, he wanted everyone to play by a set of rules he would never play by once and he had home advantage against every world class opponent he fought, be it hometown, home city or home country.

    No never

Usyk does religiously at the drop of a hat what Dre wouldn't ever dare do once

Ward warned Canelo to stay away for Beterbiev AND Bivol - he knew what was up - a cash out fight, and I think Ward was speaking from his experience knowing even a faded Kovalev was a hard hard fight - and he got away with an egregious robbery in the first. Ward would have more chance vs Bivol, but Beterbiev is a stystic nightmare match up for him, all wrong

Well, if you’re a troll then you’re a good one - I fell for your bait and searched the Classic forum for Wlad vs Ali and Golovkin vs Toney.
    90% picked Ali over WK
73% for Toney, 21% for GGG

It speaks volumes that 33 year old Ward wasn't confident in beating a far less experienced (never past the 7th round, no challenging fights) 32 year old Beterbiev despite having three American judges and an American referee behind him. No one can have genuine confidence in Ward beating prime Beterbiev based on that fact alone, before we even get into the stylistic matchup.

Kovalev said that Usyk was too big for him and Ward knew the same, yet Beterbiev competed on even terms with Usyk as an amateur and beat Kovalev twice while being 20 months younger, which further suggests that he's better than his LHW contemporaries.

It does. In his own country with a full set of home officials

    Andre Ward

“I’m not a guy that normally leans towards a puncher,” said Ward. “I’m a guy that wants a fighter to have multiple things he can fall back on in case that punch doesn’t bail him out. But Beterbiev is a little bit different. I’ve called his fights, watched him, and studied him. He’s different.

“He throws his body into every punch. He’s physically a hard man and he’s strong. He hits extremely hard, and he doesn’t even have to hit you clean. He can graze you, and you can have problems. But he’s also an underrated boxer.

“He has over 300 amateur fights and he comes up from the Soviet system. He’s a lot better skilfully than people give him credit for him and he’s going to be a hard guy to beat.”

He's taken shots at Clenelo for avoiding the smoke with Beterbiev but Beterbiev ran Ward out of his own division into retirement
