Ortiz fought as much as Wilder in 2016 and 2017. I would not rate this as inactivity at all. He had some issues, fixed them and looked absolutely solid vs Martz. A bit rusty, a bit too heavy for a fight like Wilder but he had almost three months of prep and the last weeks he already looked in much better shape than vs Martz so i think bookies are overrating the factor time and age a bit here. Two years are nothing if you preparing yourself seriously for a couple of months before a fight like this.
If the fight is on the level, Ortiz will win. Let's get real guys, Wilder has struggled vs top 20-40 type of competition and picked guys who really could not punch hard. Ortiz even on a bad night is much better than anyone Wilder has faced. I'm 90% sure if Ortiz lands a good one, Wilder's going down. The question on Ortiz is how much does he have left at his age, and what will his effort be in the ring? Unknown. With a huge pile of cash for Wilder vs Joshua, I think this fight is happening for a reason, and will yell FIX if Oritz goes down in a fishy type of way.
