Yet, the old timers have an advantage too in this grouping, as Mayweather is a 130 -135lbs fighter.

Our generation likely loses them all. Hopkins has the best chance of pulling off a win, though I favor Hagler, as I seem to be higher on him than most in the General Forum, having seen plenty of footage of Hagler at his true peak.

Mosley/Duran would actually also be quite a rumble.

I agree, this is not good match ups for the newer generations. The old four are naturally bigger and stronger. So the advantages goes to them.

 

agree. this would be one helluva fight, but i don't have any doubts about the ending. shane's habit of getting drawn into wars will be his undoing. at 135 i don't see any fighter that is there to be hit beating duran at that weight. shane would have some moments, but cholo ultimately owns the night. ud 12 ko14

Just one for me, and no it's not Whitaker, as he'd have to be on the backfoot to win against Duran.

Ike Williams. I think Duran is a more versatile fighter, but based on the styles matchup, Duran is for once faced with a man who's firepower outdoes his own, which would be very hazardous for Duran to imply his usual style against. That is a matchup I'd give a testicle to see.*
