I think he would have a good chance against Bika, Green, Inkin, Balkzay (spelling? the guy that recently beat Inkin for the WBO bauble) and would have a decent chance of getting to Bute at some stage (hopefully earlier than Andrade :rofl) I think Andrade vs. Froch is probably the most exciting fight that can be made P4P at the moment. I don't think Froch could stop Andrade. Froch seems to have an awesome chin, but if Andrade can wear him down I think he might be able to stop him. Presuming (as Andrade is not a big name) that the fight would take place over here, I think Froch can win on PTS. Kessler???? He has a chance, but a slim one. From what I've seen Kessler doesn't like it to the body (8th round, Calzaghe hurt him with a body shot, and as we know Calzaghe isn't a massive hitter, especially by that stage of his career) Froch would be the first to stop Lacy if he fought him next (hypothetically) and I think, due to the fact that he's less effective at 168, that he could beat Pavlik (still not sold on Pavlik's chin completely) What I'd really like to see is Abraham (who looked much better in disposing of Miranda at SMW then he has in subsequent defences of his IBF belt at 160 against Raul Marquez and Luajan Simon) step up to 168 and fight Froch. A few things; Abraham has a great chin. He also has terrific punching power. Can Froch take Arthur Abraham's punches? Can Froch wear Abraham down the way Miranda (a harder puncher than Froch IMO) was not quite able too despite having busted Abraham's jaw halfway out of his face???? Can Froch penetrate Abraham's 'shell' defence? I actually think this fight can be made, but Froch has not called out Abraham, but pavlik. Strange considering he would receive similar acclaim to beating Abraham, who, unlike Pavlik, is undefeated. I think Pavlik should stay at 160, he just looked chubby against Taylor and Hopkins, and sluggish. Considering Taylor employed similar tactics against Pavlik at SMW and survived the distance yet Froch (who also hit Taylor with far less in the run-up to the 12th than Pavlik did) managed to stop him, would that be a good gauge of Froch's power over Pavlik's at SMW?????? Stupid thread, but I thought I'd try and add something decent into it :good
i voted Karoly Balzsay hes a relative unkown aside from kessler the others are too close fights to call
One is Romanian and the other had Bute on ***** street, so to raise Bute's stock he can't beat Andrade. :smile
Balszay and Pavlik(yes i think he isnt all that good). I also think Bika and Bute would be a pick em. Everyone else i think beats Froch
AS I say, Abraham would be the true test of Froch's chin. We have seen how much stronger he will be once he moves up. Neither guy likes to press the action, and if Froch tries to, Arthur will surely tag him (it isn't hard is it :rofl) Will Abraham be able to reach Froch, who, if he boxes might win an uninspiring fight (height/reach advanatage) Is it just me or does Froch (body wise rather than height) look ****in' huge for a SMW??? I know Taylor's small anyway but jeez, Froch looked ripped. Kessler has underrated speed and would drop Froch and then stop him. It would be like Mosley/Margarito, except Kessler would get him from mid-range rather than darting in and out like Mosley did. Still, Taylor seemed an uphill task and Froch proved us wrong (and I'm glad he did, I'm a fan) These guys seem like even bigger hurdles, but Froch is undefeated, has a chin seemingly made out of granite, and has heavy hands and an awkward style (fellow poster LolB said he reminded him of an orthodox stance Darchinyan and I agree, the 'snake charmer' jab and awkward shots which are hard to time are pretty much the same, although clearly by coincedence) I always thought Froch was decent, but didn't rate his power. It's now clear that when he gets through he is capable of seriously hurting someone. I don't rate Pavlik that much to be honest, so by default I'm not gonna' go mad on Froch for beating someone Pavlik already has twice. But at 168 I think Froch holds the edge. Pavlik looks flabby and lethargic at the weight, Froch is a beast, and I think he would toy with Pavlik. Does anyone actually think Pavlik can hurt Froch????? I don't. Froch deserves an easier fight next, although it doesn't seem he wants one. Bika or the long overdue Inkin match on Home Soil would be fair, although I'll settle for a huge star moving up from 160.......say, Koji Sato :rofl :rofl :rofl
Froch has big balls, good whiskers and comes throwing bombs for 12 rounds. I say he does them all after eating everything they have.
