    Ricky Hatton vs. Junior Witter.

    Who wins?

I would favour Hatton pretty strongly, for a number of reasons.

    Wouldn't rule Witter out though.

I've always felt Witter was a stylistic nightmare for Hatton especially five years ago when the fight should have happened. I think with Hatton bulling in, Junior would have been able to hit Hatton with some hard, clean shots on the way in with his switch hitting style.

Witter would have some uncomfortable times on the inside but down the stretch Hatton would have used up a lot of frustrated energy trying to hit Junior who himself would have been catching Hatton with both hands. I think a late TKO for Junior would have been a realistic outcome.

If Hatton gets beaten by Pac (as I expect) I would still like to see this fight and would be picking Junior by stoppage.

Witter is in no way active enough to beat Hatton even if he does hold stylistic advantages.

I see Hatton beaing able to get inside and out working Witter to a UD.

    8-4 or there abouts.

I think they are both suspect to each other's styles.

I felt witter would have won awhile ago, but even in the harris fght he got caught a few, and he didnt like tim bradley pressure so i doubt he would do well with hattons.

Hatton has never looked the part against a southpaw especially a counter punching one like magee was.

A few years ago id say Witter by UD
But Now Hatton im not sure how though :huh

Witter could cause a scare, a big kd, some shakey moments but ultimately Ricky would grind out a 12 round decision.

Hatton and fairly easily. Bradley near enough out classed Witter with intelligent pressure. Compare Bradleys capabilities to Hatton round one Vs Mayweather before Floyd got his measure. Hatton UD.Don't think it would even be close.

  9. Hatton wins by TKO in 10/11th

I feel sorry for Witter because he gets no where near the respect and support he should be getting but the reason for this is all his own making.

If he decided to concentrate on his own career rather than try and piggyback Hattons alot more boxing fans would have warmed to him

I'm a fan of witter but the reason i think boxing fans dont warm to him is his style. One fight he can put on an exciting display the next he is far to cautious for me anyway. He could have put that Moura guy alot earlier i think. Also in the moura fight he done something that confused me for ages. He put one forearm infront of him as a defense can someone explain what he was doing there?

Witter gets what he does not expect for me. A blow out. He knocks Ricky down and destroys him early. Is Junior better than PBF no but fight take on different meaning and thats why Hattaon goes into this one with no respect and pays the price.

Witter's fought about 6 worthy opponents, he only KO'd 1. Overrated power.

He takes an age to throw a punch, when you've got Hatton coming at you at 100mph, it doesn't bode well.

Hatton has a good workrate, Witter has no workrate.

Some dodgy moments early for Hatton, but takes over the fight after a few rounds to take an ultimately comfortable decision/late TKO.

Since 2005 Witter's opponents have all been decent names and in Bradley he fought a relative unknown quantity over this side of the Atlantic and he overlooked him resulting in a poor performance and the loss of his only attraction to Hatton, the WBC belt. His style moreso than power or workrate would cause Hatton problems even if Witter could pull the trigger with venom, but the relentlessness and determination of The Hitman would score him a UD with him pulling away down the stretch to around an 8-4 victory.

Hatton is nothing like as educated as Bradley most of the time. Bradley is more of a boxer than brawler, and his defence is tighter.

It depends which Hatton turns up. The reckless frustrated one that appears when he is angry, which could be likely given their history...that version could find himself on the end of a hard counter he doesn't see coming.

If he fought more like he did against Malignaggi, keeping his hands up a little more and actually trying to jab instead of bullrushing I'd see him winning a decision.

Overall I'd learn towards Hatton, I'd like to have seen this some time ago.

There's a reason Ricky wanted no part of Witter and it's not among the many he gave us.
