The Bradley - Witter fight convinced me 100% that Hatton would beat Witter badly, Witter would be competative for the first 3 or 4 rounds and then Hatton would shut him down.
The Bradley fight is the worst contest that you could choose as a gauge for how Witter would do against Hatton. Witter had had a terrible run up, father on deaths door, personal problems, problems making weight etc, in short it wasn't really him in the ring with Bradley that night...it was obvious to us fans (yes,he has a few) that something wasn't right straight from the first bell.
I think Hattons too good on the inside and Witters not good enough to keep him out of there or put up a fight in there, id go for a late stoppage for Hatton
I think both are susceptible to the other's style. Witter would have fits with Hatton at times because the pace would be fast, no posturing, no fancy bobbing and weaving, it would be a scrap. Flip side..... Hatton still lunges in. Against ***gi he was able to get away with it but Witter does counter well if in form..... Overall I'd say that Hatton would win a few rounds using his boxing and pressure, and win a few more on workrate alone when Witter gets lazy - enough to win a UD 117-111 ish.
It's hard to see a Witter win. The only chance is Hatton walking on to a punch and getting KO'd. As I've already said, Witter only has one KO of note on his record, his power is very overrated. And Hatton isn't that bad, yea he walked on to one from Mayweather, but the fight was already lost by that point. To beat Hatton, you have to beat him at his own game. It's practically impossible to stop him getting on the inside, so you have to beat him on the inside. Hatton presents a lot more problems for Witter than vica versa.
