Is it ever? maybe if someone had suckerpunched hitler, but otherwise no.
Its a lack of sportmanship and a sign of 0 class.

this has been decided already by people who know boxing. Ortiz deserves to be spank in the head like what Bruce Lee did with the kid on the movie enter the dragon. 'never take your eyes away from your opponent'.

Sad to say but when you think of our beloved sport "morality" and "honor" aren't the first words that come to mind.

99% of pro boxers will take advantage of any situation or loophole or dirty tactic they can "legally" get away with just to get the W. "Honor" and "Morality" take a back seat to winning almost always.

Not sure if I can really blame May since he did what most would have done.

You could easily argue that boxing in and of itself is an immoral act. Beating up on your fellow man for cash doesn't exactly get you to the head of the line in heaven.

Its a bad thing, I like honour and sportmanship in any sport. This not being the case and most people justifying it saying how its great really sucks imo.

Q? Should be " was the headbutt moral?" Put it like this: no headbutt, no need to apologize, no opportunities 4 Floyd to "suckerpunch" Ortiz!! Ortiz is the only one at fault & I hope he doesn't get a rematch... It was an expensive night for me not even counting the $70.00 for ppv, for this **** of a fight?!?! I mean, Really??

It wasn't moral but it also wasn't illegal.

Moral definition: Concerned with the principles of right and wrong behavior and the goodness or badness of human character.

Humans shouldn't fight, I guess this sport is immoral.

Forget Moral... it was unsporting. No doubt he clearly would have won the fight so why do something to detract from your skills?
