PBF took a break from fighting top opposition in much the same way Roy did during the peak period of his career. After his lackluster performances against Castillo he moved on to fighting second rate fighters like N'Dou, Bruseles, Corley, Sosa, shot Gatti, etc.

Roy dominated through his entire career as well until age caught up with him. Floyd retired early so we never got to see what age did to him, therefore they're incomparable in that sense. Prime for prime, if you compare their list of opponents, Roy clearly holds the edge.

Floyd's performance against Chico was about on par with Roy's performance against Toney.

Hatton isn't even as good a win as Roy's over Ruiz, Tarver, Griffin, Hill, etc.

As for dominating everyone at 140, he had 3 fights there for ****'s sake against the same lackluster competition I just named.

Probably his shut-out win over top 2 P4P ranked James Toney. And Floyd has done what to compare?

That one fighter Floyd struggled with also happened to be the best fighter he'd ever faced. Against Roy's best opponents (both of which were at least a level above Castillo) he won in easy, dominating fashion.

Again, Roy and Floyd are incomparable in that Floyd retired early to avoid getting smoked in much the same way Roy did when past his prime. Moron.

Oddly enough I had him losing clearly to both Quartey and Whitaker. I thought the Mosley I fight was about as close as the Mayweather fight.

You think he lost a further two of his biggest fights, in addition to the five he did lose, and yet you still believe he has a better resume than Hopkins, Barrera, Morales and Lennox Lewis?

Mayweather should not be in the other category.

 Why have you included Czyz?! He was a shocking opponent, that is never a name to bring up in proving the quality of a resume.

Oh, and Toney stopped him, Foreman and Holmes were ancient, and Ibragimov dominated him.

Evander has a great resume, but not the best IMO.

    1)MAB-x2 Morales,Hamed and Mckinney.
2)ODlh- Quartey(very close though),Vargas. I'm convinced he thoroughly beat Tito and Mosely II.
    3) Lewis- A whole raft of heavyweights at a very consistan level. Imho would've dealt with an intimidated looking Bowe had they ever met.
His loss against Rahman is the one thing that prevents me not having him at no.1.

Nine of the best fighters of this era, and an option for someone who isn't in there.

(*please recognize that I am NOT saying these are the top 9 resumes, these are just the 9 I am putting up for a vote, if you think it's someone else please say who and explain)

It's a public vote, so if you vote then please explain WHY you think your choice is correct.

WHO HAS THE BEST RESUME SINCE THE END OF THE 1980S?

Yes Holyfield lost some fights but he lost to top fighters period.

Oscar de la Hoya has the best resume (not counting wins or loses, just resume): G. Hernandez, JCC, Whitaker, Trinidad, Quartey, Mosley, Vargas, Hopkins, Mayweather, soon Pacquiao, etc.

Who is the greatest fighter since 1990 (considering wins and loses)?

    1. Jones: wins over Hopkins, Toney, Hill, Woods, Ruiz, Tarver, etc.
    2. Hopkins: wins over Trinidad, Tarver, Wright, Pavlik, etc.
    3. Mayweather: wins over De la Hoya, Hatton, JLC, G. Hernandez, Corrales, Judah, etc.
    4. Lewis: wins over Holyfield, V. Klitschko, Rahman, Mercer, Golota, shot Tyson, etc.

    Dear ****wit,

When evaluating a resume, losses MUST be taken into account, otherwise you are getting a false picture.

    Freddie Pendleton has fought:

Frankie Randall (twice), Roger Mayweather, Livingstone Bramble (twice), Pernell Whitaker, Jorge Paez, Rafael Ruelas, Giovanni Parisi, Tony Lopez, Felix Trinidad, Vince Phillips, James Page, Ben Tackie and Ricky Hatton.

By the logic you are employing, Pendleton has one of the greatest resumes of the last 20 years.

    His career record is 47-26-5.

    Yours,
    Someone With A Brain
