yeah, half way through the war, when it was a stalemate and the british needed more than just weaponry, from us might I add, they needed man power. the russians finished off the nazi's? where did you find that? that's not true. Hitler himself finished the nazi's, spreading his army too thin, not completing the north african campaign, helping the italians in the balkans and greece, invading russia, not to mention declaring war on the U.S, the world's greatest Industrial power at the time, which proceeded to bomb his precious reich from pillar to post, effectively toppling the nazi regime.

lastly, civil rights activists in a democratic country? are you reading from a textbook?, there was nothing democratic about the intense discrimination african americans faced before 1968 and the legal end of systematic oppression, better yet, dehumanization, at the highest forms of government and down, so, in actuality it most definitely is good comparison, pre-1968 america for blacks, paralleled with that of nazi germany. And nevertheless, why didn't german citizens do anything about it? they were scared? that's gutless, and must be the reason Germany as a country is still barely rising from the ashes of its past. you can never touch me when it comes to history.

 

I don't know where you guys are getting your history. The defeat of the Germans is most attributable to the Russians. Anything else is fantasy.

allied forces invaded western france, which caused the germans to bring together reserves to launch a counter attack in the ardennes, which failed miserably. the russians were reducing german control in east prussia and poland at the exact same time. a couple months after that, allied forces crossed the rhine and literally captured thousands of german troops. do I have to tell you what the rhine is? at the same time, the russians had began to take austria, so if you look at a map, you can see that both the allies and the russians were closing in on berlin. while all this time, the allies were literally destroying entire german cities in a night with their bombing campaign, all of the bombs were supplied by who? THE AMERICANS. allied forces pushed through the german line in italy and the soviets and allies met somewhere in germany, I forget the name, starts with a T. The soviets took Berlin, I have to admit that, but that was only because the allies were facing a much greater defensive effort from the west, a known fact.

to say it was most attributable to the soviets shows a total lack of knowledge:think. and by the way, by 1945, the overwhelming majority of planes, tanks, guns and bombs for the allies were being supplied by the good ol' U.S of A. and WE BEAT JAPAN WITH A-BOMBS, so what bull**** are you going to suggest that counteract these facts?

Did you forget that it was the American Industrial complex that Militarized both sides of the war and that there were several Nazi sympathizers in the Good ole USA that is why they did not jump in earlier.

Also segregation was only the reminisce of the slave trade, which created the larger loss of life than even the Holocaust. It was centuries before the common man realized that this practice was wrong.

Out manned and out gunned it was the reds who really lead to the down fall of Hitler. He thought he could walk right threw them like the french and the rest. He underestimated the Soviets resolve and was being beaten on the badly eastern front. this allowed the fresh American troops to take advantage from the west.
