i played football with nigel benn for nightingale-peter defreitus team.

i grew up with colin mcmillan until we were about 11 in edith road in stratford.

i went to st francis school in stratford with lennox lewis

both in the same year as me.

been to loads of fights so seen plenty of boxers but none of them to talk to

i used to chat boxing with ambrose mendy - albeit he was not a boxer.

SNV hands down, I saw the top of his magnificently-shiny head once, in the direction of Mother Russia. :happy

I was at the wladimir klitschko-peter II fight. peter's shoulder were big, but wlad is just a wall.

    why ?

my picture is on page 990 or somewhere near to show my age
i think my date of birth is on my profile

i have been on esb longer than all the other brits so due to having discussed my background in many other the lounge topics i am quite well known .

there was one very large victorian catholic primary school in stratford in the 1970`s

i think the next nearest was st antonys in forest gate

there were about 8 other schools in stratford but they are all church of england.

st francis was an all west indian/irish/italian pupil school
    due to being catholic
if i and my brothers went to st antonys instead of the walk to st francis it would have been a good 2 mile walk and into another postcode, for a 7 year old instad of the 5 min it took to get to stratford broadway.

this was in an era when there was absolutly no school run whatsoever hence we all went to the nearest available school.

    it was the loadsamoney era.
    1980`s
he used to arrive late in a white porsche convertable.

he was alright and a laugh

used to play right wing, fast but not skillfull.

but peter used to warn everybody not to really lay into him in a tackle, not because nigel would do anything, he would not , but because if he got injured and had to cancel a fight the insurance would not cover it.
