You don’t know. Could be plenty of those dudes making a living throwing an receiving punches also been amongst those dudes on keyboards calling prizefighting dudes cowards. I’m sure they like getting on keyboards and trolling as much as the next dude.

Wilder, by far. Anyone who turns down 120 million and unification in front of 100k fans, to go fight for 3-4 million in front of a half empty arena, if either incredibly stupid, a ducker or both.

The RJJ ducking of Steve Collins had to have been the worst. Instead, Roid fought a lotta stiffs. I think when Del Valle put him on his ass he became moee cautious.

Promoters make fights not fighters. There’s a ton of reasons that fights aren’t made that have nothing to do with the actual fighter.

too many of you follow TMZ parts of this sport.

none of these guys are cowards.

    Golovkin is an honorable mention.

Swerved the toughest fights unless they came with a big payday.

Promoters have influence, but if a fighter stands his ground he can make the fights he wants.

Canelo comes to mind. GbP did not want him righting Trout or Lara, but Canelo demanded those fights.

Most of PBC. Has no one caught on to the game they’re playing? Cherry-pick, cherry-pick. Fillers while waiting to jump to snatch a title. No one takes a fight outside with a belt that they can lose. They got Porter right now working as one of the snatchers, nothing to lose, but if they win, another belt to be held hostage within PBC. It’s mainly management I know. The grand monopoly plan. But it sure has put boxing in a slump.
Hopefully Spence goes against Haymon and just takes that unification bout.

Promoters give your offers and tell you the perks of each (this one will be more money etc). A fighter can say no or ask for a fight and if it makes sense the promoter should be on board. It’s an agreement that both parties must reach.

This is why you often hear a fighter say “I’ve never turned down a fight”. A lot of them put their career’s in their manager’s hands, but they can most certainly choose. There’s an interview about Degale talking with Haymon and how Haymon was offering him Chavez jr or some other fight he thought was terrible and he said no and asked for Jack. (Will search for the article to confirm)

    Found it: https://www.boxing247.com/boxing-news/im-pushing-haymon-for-badou-jack-fight-says-james-degale/49905
