This is true. I don't understand why they gave him the title and then had him defend it against that Polish guy the next day though, rather than make that the two of them fight for the vacant title.

But who cares if Valuev is humble and a gent? Can I get a belt too? His title was bogus.

Manny Pacquiao winning a made-up catchweight WBC Diamond belt against Miguel Cotto is awfully wack, I would put that in the paper champ category, also the pull out of Arums ass belt he won at Jr. Middleweight against an unranked Antonio Margarito who was fresh off suspension and not even a true 154lber himself and Pacquiao weighing in at 144 in a bout contracted at 150lbs for a 154lb title, Manny for that alone should be the poster-boy for paper champions...

proved that he deserves his title by beating a top tier light middleweight while only being 20.

The title means nothing. Canelo beat another contender. That's all.

The way he recieved the belt was BS and yes I considered him the biggest paper champ then, and if he defended his belt against a weak opponent, then I'd keep labeling him that, but Rhodes isn't a scrub

I don't think Rhodes was a scrub. I just don't see this as legitimizing him in anyway YET. I think Angulo, Margarito, Cintron, Williams, Landy, and Cotto all beat him now. And that's just because Canelo is young and still developing.

Just wait to see his comp in his next few fights. Sideways, not forward. Not yet at least. That said, I HOPE I am wrong.

Him just being awarded the title was a joke, especially since he was having a fight right then. It's okay, he'll get KOd soon. Btw what's the deal with W's name on this site?
