It’s hard to say. Injures, fixes, bad decsisons, or DQ's account for many fluke wins. I do think if it was on the level, Jimmy Braddock's upset over Max Baer is a fluke win.

If you want a true fluke win, try this hat on for size. There was a journeyman vs journeyman fight in the 1950's. One fighter came out of his corner and swung a haymaker. The other person ducked it, and the momentum of the missed punch made the attacker fall out of the ring. He did not beat the count to get back into the ring. The winner of this match did not even throw a punch.

That would have been rule a slip though. I have seen plenty of slips in the old fights, and the ref would rule it that way,(Assuming its not Dempsey Firpo lol)

Goldstine didnt say 1, when Marciano slip in round 10 vs LarSarza, nor did Barry say 1 when Tunney slip vs Dempsey in the rematch(Round ten).

How about Orlin Norris twisting his ankle against Cooper?

Or Jameel McCline doing the same against Valuev?

Napoles was on his way to a comfortable win over the decent journeyman, only to get badly cut, and thus he lost the title.

Napoles showed who was boss once again in the rematch, this time avoiding getting stopped due to cuts.

Both McCall's and Rahman's ko wins over Lennox Lewis. Why do I consider them to be flukes? Because Lewis proved in both rematched what should have happened in the first fights with these guys and what would have happened if he had been on the ball in both fights.

The Rahman fight was a fluke... but i don't think McCall's win over Lewis was a fluke.... Had McCall been 'on the ball' in the second Lewis fight (instead of crying) he would have had a good chance at winning again.

    Complete bull****.

A man having a drug deprivation breakdown in the middle of the ring after being dragged out of rehab isn't even the start of showing what "should of" happened.

McCall tagged Lennox with some damned good shots in their second fight and openly taunted him after Lennox landed more than a few of his best shots.

We DO know what a focused McCall did against a rough Lennox Lewis.
