I rewatched the Kabayel-Sanchez fight, and I'm now convinced that Kabayel would give Usyk a tougher fight than anyone else in this division. It's clear that Sanchez isn't as skilled as Usyk, but I don't think he's a talentless fighter like many people say. Usyk once said that Chisora was his toughest opponent. I think Kabayel will fight in a similar way to Chisora in that match. Being younger is another advantage.

Note: Even if Kabayel loses to a worse boxer than Usyk, my opinion won't change.

I think the dude had a bum knee, i don't think you can extract too much from there, he was a non-oposition all fight.

The only genuine threat to Usyk is old father time...

Kabayel looks decent enough but his resume is mega thin and it's unclear how well he'd cope with Usyks ridiculous ring IQ.

If (realistically, I mean "when") Kabayel's plan A fails, does he have what it takes to readjust and try something else, whilst the rounds are racking up against him AND Usyk is continually upping the pace?

I think Kabayel would beat Sanchez on his best day.

Agreed, he cut the ring off beautifully and dismantled Sanchez. Kabayel is still underrated even now, he would disassemble Dubois and has more tools to his shed than Parker

I Believe that too, but he wasn't really able to ask no questions on Kabayel boxing that night in particular.

As @BubblesUK said, it is probably Usyk's age that is his biggest weakness.

If we are talking fighters - I'd say Dubois if I had to pick one but the first fight doesn't give me much confidence in Dubois, however he does have a genuine puncher's chance. Maybe, maybe Opetaia as he is very talented but his resume is fairly thin and isn't even a HW. By saying Opetaia I'm literally clutching straws here which goes to show how good Usyk is.

I like Kabayel but I'm not convinced he will be able to consistently land those body-shots on Usyk. Kabayel hasn't fought anyone with the footwork of Usyk nor even fought anyone near Usyk's level. His win against Chisora and Zhang were good ones but Usyk is a completely different animal to those two fighters. Zhang has absolutely no footwork or stamina hence he was tailor-made for Kabayel's strengths.

If Kabayel beats Parker well especially showing that he can cut the distance, then we'll see but I'm just not convinced Kabayel will be able to deal with Usyk's footwork.

Parker is a good fighter but Usyk is just better than him, its as simple as that.

AJ and Fury are out of the equation clearly, and someone silly on here will probably mention Itauma, man Itauma would just be Bambi on ice against Usyk and it would be pretty painful to watch someone so outmatched as of now.

Dubois and Parker are a step up, but Sanchez Zhang and Makhmudov are some very impressive Ws. I think Kabayel would struggle with these two but hopefully he's in many more big fights soon. He seems reluctant to step up

He had no issues with fighting Zhang, he's a road warrior and will fight the best. The real question is who beats Kabayel when Usyk retires ?

I think both Parker and Dubois, maybe Itauma after a year or two and more good wins, could give him a serious problem and could beat him. Itauma may take a few more years to grow, he's only 20.

Kabayel is serious for sure though

Dubois and Parker are a big step up...

Makh and Sanchez aren't really even well proven as gatekeepers, they're decent enough wins but they're not top fighters.

Zhang, whilst dangerous with genuine power, has a very mixed record against top level fighters and it's thin pickings at that - let's not forget, he's literally 3-3-1 against guys in the top 200...

It'd be great to see Kabayel in some decent fights and we'd get a better idea of just how good he is (or isn't) that way... At the moment, the hype is quite ridiculously OTT compared with the quality and depth on his resume - for his second best win to be Chisora getting on for EIGHT years ago tells you just how busy he hasn't been against serious fighters

I agree. I think Kabayel would beat Usyk. Hrgovic would pose a serious threat too. But I feel stronger about Kabayel. Sanchez might be 3rd or 4th. I would rather see Usyk v Sanchez then Usyk v Parker tbh.

Then theres the Duboius rematch. While I'm tried of rematches thats a good fight.

I really like Kabayel and I'm not ragging on him in any way; I think he has a decent shot at beating any heavyweight aside from Usyk, who is quite simply just a step above. If Kabayel fought Usyk I think the fight would be competitive, but Usyk is quicker, fitter, has more skill, and most importantly he will not lay stationary for Kabayel to mount his body assault. Usyk-Kabayel would be great entertainment so I'm not against it, but I would rather see Kabayel against some other big names in the division, whereby I would genuinely be so confident I would put some of my hard earned on Kabayel.
