The biggest upset of alltime?

cool:good...I do think its a bigger upset, ray was considered the best in boxing at the time, and his decline wasn't being foreshadowed like a faltering empire as Tyson's was, not to mention, like I said before, Ray had beaten lamotta once before convincingly, and I just checked boxrec; the difference in weight between both fighters across their first two fights was essentially the same, give or take a pound and a half or two, making your point about the weight completely irrelevant.

and your right, you arent 82, so you would need to check the archives, which I HAVE, and it was a HUGE upset...boxing was the sport in america next to baseball at the time, so it was big

Jones wasn't quite "invincible" the way Tyson was.

 

You have to put Hopkins way of defeating Trinidad, the guy was even the underdog on his own weightclass on that night. Nobody was giving him a chance at all even myself. He proved all of us wrong.

 

This has been done to death lol...of course its Tyson-Douglas...never before or after that fight has such a mediocre fighter upset such an "invincible" fighter

Frankie Randall vs Julio Ceasar Chavez I

People really don't bring this fight up as much as one might think considering Chavez was 89-0-1 and hoping to win 100 fights. Also considering that Randall knocked Chavez on his back in the 11th, people just don't bring this up as much.
Why?

You're dead wrong sorry but you are. A Welterweight losing a BIG middleweight(LaMotta outweighted him by 16 pounds) isnt the greatest upset of alltime.

That's like Floyd Mayweather being beat by Felix Sturm with Mayweather weighing under 147 and Sturm weighing 160.

 

well what if Floyd was the "people's welterweight champion," only not receiving a title shot up until that point because he would have "darkened the division," and also had beaten Felix Sturm convincingly 2 months before and outboxed or destroyed 3 solid fighters (one of them twice) since?...and what if, after this VERY FIRST LOSS, he went on to become the greatest fist fighter to ever walk the face of the earth, the guy who Ali wanted to, and successfully, emulated style wise?
