The essance of Boxing, is to hit and not get hit. As far as the pureist form goes, Roy Jones was a master.

**** like what's in this thread is why I hardly post now.

Everything about him. Balance, confidence, speed, power, chin, legs, skills, speed, have all diminished more that any fighter I can think of since Tyson. I dongt hold it against him, boxing is a young mans sport. Its scary to watch him fight in there now. Its like watching a stuntman in a death defying stunt.

Every physical facet of Jones's game has diminished dramatically since he first showed signs of real decline in the 1st Tarver fight in '03.

He has been shot to **** since the Johnson fight in '04 or '05.

Now? Anyone who says he isn't shot to smithereens is medically braindead.

Don't for get his REFLEXES aren't worth **** now, either. He gust puts his hands up, hoping NOT to get hit. He has more LbyKO's in his future. As far as Hopkins, he ALWAYS had really good funamentals, something Roy only HEARD about.

RJJ has been shot since 2004. His punch resistance is shameful, a silent gust of wind could Knock him down. Man, if he fought Montell Griffin with this punch resistance, this guy wouldve got KO'd in the 2nd round -- De Valle wouldve had a one punch KO.

RJJ is so beyond shot, has had legs since 2003. His speed is diminishing, and his equilibrium is terrible from all those KO's. It's a sad sight to see.
