Tyson was in better shape for the rematch but like you I see Holyfield still pulling out a win. At that time Holyfield had problems with movers and Tyson was far from that he was a straight-forward kind of fighter. Perfect for Holy at that time.

Do you think Tyson was as juiced? Few fans know Holyfield was once Dq'd in an amatuer fight for biting as well.

I thought Tyson did reasonably well early, but he was always a front runner. Holyfield was not going to lie down. When Tyson felt adversity, I think he snapped mentally and looked for a way out.

Not all the time. He never looked for a way out against Ruddock and fought on. Even when facing Smith & Tucker he still won though not in impressive fashion he hung in there to win. He also never looked for a way out against Douglas to my knowledge. Can you provide a link if possible as I've never heard of Holyfield being dq'd by biting in ama's. He did say he used to bite his brothers lol.

Here's the video....the 3rd round included.....care to tell me where in the timeframe of that video that Holyfield is wobbled??????

Its plain to see from the beggining of that 3rd round that Tyson comes out to start that 3rd round (vintage Tyson, pouncing for the KO)......and Holyfield deals with it like dealing with a child trying to pounce on him.

Thats the reason right there why Tyson bit. He wanted Lanes to disqualify him the first time, but Lane forced Tyson's hand and so he had to bite Holyfield again.

As I said, I think Tyson purposely tried to foul out too, but I think the cuts had something to do with it. I dont think Tyson would have bitten Holyfield if he wasnt cut, but I could be wrong. Again I never really thought much of Tysons comeback at all, as far as him as a fighter, but heres some things I saw in the fight.

Around 23 seconds you can see Tyson put his mouth on Holys ear after they first initially clash heads.
After the first cut you can see Holyfield ram his head into Tyson's at the 4:42 mark
At the 6:20 mark he does it again
At the 6:50 mark you can hear Tyson tell Giachetti, hes butting the hell out of me.
When Tyson leaves the corner for the 3rd, he leaves without his mouthpiece. At this time, I think he made up his mind what he was going to do and wanted out of the fight.
At the 9:28 mark Tyson lands a good lefthook that stops Holy in his tracks and then follows it up with a two punch combo and Holyfield holds on. Maybe not a wobble, but definitely a good shot that froze Holy a little for Tyson to follow up with that two punch shot.
Overall Holyfield made his statement right from the start. He nailed Tyson pretty good in that first round, but by the third, I think Tyson was making the fight a bit more competitive, but he couldnt keep himself together.

  6. hard to say?:rofl:rofl:rofl lmao evander would have humiliated tyson just as he did in 1996. holyfield would expose your hero tyson in 89,90,91,95,97 3007... tyson destroyed bruno in the 90s but holyfield exposed him, simply because evander would kick his ass in any time

:lol::lol::lol:I guess a Tyson fan can try to convince themelves Tyson did'nt just quit outright.

You're trying to convince yourself that it does'nt make sense that Tyson would quit in the round he was being more competitive in......but if you want to look at it perspectively, it plain to see that Tyson was taking a chance to start that round and going for broke.

Yeah, Tyson was more competitive in that 3rd round, but to put it in track terms, with the fight being only in the 3rd round and a marathon still ahead,he came out the blocks for that round as if to run a 100 meter dash......

......Tyson shot his wad and that was it......he was in no man's land and that was it......" I want out!"
Then came the bite....then again another bite.....

    "I want out. Disqualify me!"

The reality is that Tyson did'nt want an out like what Duran did vs Leonard and just signal "no mas."

Tyson bit because he knew it was a way to get disqualified, then in a rage make it look like he still wanted to fight while his own corner held him back.:rofl:nut

I dont really understand your post? "Tyson fans", as opposed to Tyson hater? Yes I was a fan of Mike Tyson's when he was a real fighter, what does that have to do with what I saw in the fight?
If anyone tries to comment on what went down in the fight with any kind of objectivity they are a Tyson nuthugger?

Tyson was headbutt and cut over both his eyes thats a fact of the fight.

If your suggesting that Tyson would have fouled out, cuts or no cuts, your being ridiculous. Im not defending Tysons behavior, I thought it was dispicable, but the fight was what it was, and I think its pretty clear that the headbutts had something to do with making Tyson implode.
