ali has stated many times that he got his trash talking ideas because he was a fan of pro wrestling when he was growing up...and loved the idea of the fans booing for being so arrogant...he got the "crawling on his knees and telling frazier he was the greatest if he beat him" idea from the wrestler gorgeous george

I'm not sure Golovkin's being ducked per se, just he was stuck in contract limbo for a couple years where nobody with a reputable promoter would fight him and he was stuck fighting in Panama. Hopefully K2 can get him back on track with a bigger fight or two, but honestly, they don't seem to be very good at getting people fights either. Plus, Golovkin has very little name recognition outside of Germany and Panama, which hurts.

I think he's too small for 168 probably. He's on the smaller side for 160 even.

Golovkin could build a name at this point if he wants to. He holds a belt. If he faces a few dangerous fighters who want that belt, he'll build a reputation. Thus far, he's fought scrubs and washouts though. I'm sure Andy Lee would love a shot at that title, for instance. Golovkin vs. Gilberto Ramiro Sanchez would make a hell of a BAD main event. Quillin keeps making noise about wanting a title shot. Sure, none of those fights makes him a star, but if he does well in any of those, the US networks will be more likely to pick up his fights, which will make it easier for him to get better fights. Fighting on Klitschko undercards isn't going to help him any.

I've seen the kid fight and he seems to be a banger. I didn't consider him smallish vs Ouma. But if he's being passed at MW, I recommend a change to either LMW or SMW. Either move would get him better recognition. And in the LMW division he could get Kirkland or even Mayweather should he win vs Cotto.
But Alvarez would duck him for certain. Too strong, too much heart, and his fast hands would be the ultimate equalizer to Canelos untested slickness.:think

Did you mean Golovkin has fast hands? He most definitely does not have them.

Looked pretty fast on the inside against Ouma. Yeah, Kassim had seen better days, but GG was peppering him in and out, and how far has Kassim fallen to be nailed so regularly.:think
