Agree, most people let their like / dislike for the boxer get in the way, i dont really understand it especially knowing what these guys do, how they have to train / live etc. And you would think that we would like to see our british fighter's be successfull.

Alright! DeGale didn't get off to a great start with the way he was but I'd still like to see him do well, like i do with all British fighters.

I agree with this, except Calzaghe certainly didn't lack work rate. Not saying you're saying that, though.Apart from Ward,Degale isn't out of place with the best in this division.Hes got a great chance with the others.Id be more worried about Bikas head than anything else.Tough nut to crack!!

He has everything you just said for the first 6 rounds and then lacks everything you just said thereafter!

At some point when he steps up he will get stopped because of that.

I checked Periban out before he fought Bika and remember thinking he was AWFUL! and he did nothing to persuade me otherwise in the Bika fight, Degale should outclass him with ease, Periban is slow as ****

Periban got beaten up by Badou Jack and Bika is past his best, Degale would beat both guys comfortably

DeGale would be a good fight for him to take he has to really get something going 2014 & would win comfortably enough on points for me picking him off on the way in.

Can't say it enough he doesn't sell tickets & at decent size arenas you can't have the main event fighter local side not drawing a crowd...big problem but of his own making.

He was talking of a title shot against bika after his last fight, this is the next and proper step up for him if he wants to fight bika
