Pac timed Marques well enough to counter him.

I think that Cotto is the first fighter in a long time who had the size as well as the patience to stand with Mayweather, and not present Floyd with many openings.

Pacquaio is physically out gunned IMO in every department except foot speed. His footspeed will see him land ala Judah once or twice, but I expect Mayweather to adapt, and impose his size and skill. Pacquaio obliterates come forward fighters, I can't see Mayweather being as reckless as that.

Juan stuck the jab into emmanuel's face when emmanuel's lead foot was outside of Juan's lead f

Marquez is much smaller, and much easier to hit than Mayweather mate.

I need to find a way to make gifs. Juan would stick his left out to bait a right hook counter from emmanuel then beat him to the punch with a str8 right. Floyd did the same **** to Zab except he would fully extend his flicker jab.

Underrated aspect. While pacturds replay those kd's out of hate and chincheckers roam, one thing they don't realize is that it takes tons of heart to rise up and get back to fighting especially against an animal like Pacquiao.

Yep. Pacq has grown on me lately.

    Even did the shoulder roll!

ATG at FW/SFW. He still fought them when he could and gave his heart everytime.

And Floyd has the best jab to the body now. Still, Pacquiao doesn't need balance to get his shots of and he's the best at that. Odd angles but the lack of patience would bite him.

    :deal

He does eat come-forward fighters but Floyd's lack of movement can cause him to be hit by a fast punch every now and then. Would love to see that gif:twisted:

Unless he tries to prove a point which I wouldn't advise. Mayweather threw a careless left hook which caused him to get rocked by Mosley the second time.

The way I see it, Floyd doesn't adapt to straight lefts by moving, he chooses to advance against southpaws. Cotto was patient and certainly used his size as a pressure fighter, but like I said, in the moments he turned southpaw, they were as Floyd retreated, not when they were body-to-body. Floyd coming forward would turn into a battle between his ability to cut off a ring and Manny's own ability to fight going backwards and laterally. In that scenario, I think Manny could out-maneuver him when Judah couldn't.

    You mean this beauty?

Floyd was successful taking Judah's punches way as you said, but he pressed Judah and Zab had no answer for it. I think Manny would have more of a response. Both 2008 and 2011 show Marquez landing that shot after establishing outside lead foot positioning.

I said a week before the third fight that I saw Marquez baiting the right in the rematch and against that one round against Ramos, and nobody paid heed. Well behold bitches.

You see Pac trying to time him coming in with the right hook and he almost always misses it.

That's also due to Marquez's low center of gravity. It's my personal opinion that Manny struggles more when Marquez is in close range ducking down than he does with taller fighters. Aiming low brings his hands down, opening him for counters, and opens up angles up from under.

Juan used this one to great success. It looked even better than this since emmanuel is a sucker for uppercuts. That low lead hand guard Floyd, Bernard, Zab, etc use practically leaves em immune to uppercuts. All the upper did for Floyd in this case was block Zab's field of vision providing a clear way for the right.
