Any of you guys ever see The Boxer coin operated machine at bars? Basically you put some coins in select whether you're male or female and then a bag comes down. Then you punch the bag which swings up on a mechanical arm and it gives you your score. I gave it a good stationary straight right and registered a 350. While another guy cocked back all the way and gave it a big wallop with the bottom of his fist and huge swinging motion gave him about a 800. Now my question is this. Does this thing really measure punching power and effectiveness well? My punch didn't registed as high a score but since I hit with the knuckles and punched straight through it would have been a great blow. But the other guy's large cocked swinging wallop did score higher but somehow I feel that since it didn't have a straight in line path and a high to low with the wrong part of the hand one it wouldn't have had any power. Anyone know or used this thing? Thanks.
It's not designed to be accurate. it is designed to make guys look tough in front of their friends or girl.
there was a video on youtube with the press in the build up to peter manfredo and joe calzaghe and they were interviewing calzaghe and at the end asked him to hit that bag thing that was in the distance... ill try find it 4 u
it was on a british tv programme called soccer am and the actor Tammer Hassan beat Evander holyfields score on it so i think that shows it not very accurate. its more just for fun
They got this machine at our local cinemas arcade. It's borderline ******ed. Now about 15 feet from that silly thing, is an air hockey game. Now we're talking skillz.
