    Calzqghe versus McCallum in their primes would have been an intriguing fight. I'd bought it on PPV that is for sure. Calzaghe versus Toney would have been another intriguing fight,

    I think McCallum would have that contest. But i could also see Calzaghe pulling something like a 115-113 split decision type of verdict.

    McCallum is clearly the greater fighter because of his substantially superior resume.

    I also suspect that McCallum, prime for prime, was genuinely the superior fighter p4p.

    McCallum was at his best at LMW, though, and that's a hell of a jump to SMW. Equivalent of WW to MW or MW to LHW.

    McCallum was a fantastic LMW. Whilst he was also an exceptional MW, he was just that little bit less effective relative to fighters those 6lbs heavier, imo. Another 8lbs would have been another significant jump, imo.

    Prime for prime at 168lbs id expect a close, possibly even controversial decision, with some favouring McCallums cleaner shots and higher % connect rate, with others favouring Calzaghe's higher volume of scoring shots.
