    Everlast Muhammad Ali headgear

dont have a picture sorry but im sure most of you know it, otherwise just google it..

Effectiveness - 3/5. has no ear protection whatsoever. cop one to the side of the head and you know all about it. having said that, the cheek protection is reasonable
Style - 3/5. i dont really like the ugly maroon-ish colour, but thats my opinion
Durability - 4/5. this isnt my headgear, it belongs to my gym for anyone to use. its the only headgear i have used at this gym though, and it has been there for a few years getting a fair bit of use, so it must be fairly durable
Cost - 4/5 - again, not my headgear so i didnt pay for it, but it seems pretty cheap on most sites i have seen it on

Everlast protex glove??? One size does not fit all. Way too small/ tight for middleweight hands.

Sold my Everlast Protex bag gloves and brought RIVALS RB10-d30,s.
    Fantastic .
Best glove that I have ever used.
They shipped them and I got them next day.

I have a speed/heavy bag stand from title with a 100 pd heavy bag. anyone know about how many weight plates I should put on it to weigh it down enough for me to actually use the speed bag without standing on the supports? I also need to replace the shitty everlast one it came with. Any suggestions?

also, my pair of ringisde safetyloc sparring gloves has ****ed up stitching in the right glove. my pinky and ring fingers are pushed up to my other fingers and it just doesn't feel right when I punch, like i should expecting a metacarpal break at any moment. Anyone have any solutions outside of just craigslisting them?

just to rebump this thread instead of making a new one, Im looking at getting a set of bag gloves (Im not yet ready for sparring)

The dilemma for me is, do i shell out a good amount of money for a decent set of gloves? Reyes and the like. or do i get a 30 quid pair of something cheaper so i dont look like a twat at the gym "all the gear no idea" sort of thing.

I understand it would look like that if a guy whos been boxing around 6 months does this, its just I've been doing it long enough to know this is the sport for me, so want to get a set of gloves that will last.

my coach has just advised me to get bag gloves and my own rope for now. any thoughts ?

Just wondering if anybody has any experience with punch bag stands?

I'm looking to get a heavy bag set up but living in rented accomodation I can't drill into any walls or ceilings etc.

    http://www.boxfituk.com/brackets/fr...be-multi-use-boxing-stand-set-/prod_1535.html

    [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Free-Standing-Punch-Platform-Gloves-Speedball/dp/B003H1AZ3Q/ref=pd_cp_sg_1[/ame]

This is the kind of thing I'm looking at. Are the multipurpose stands worth the cost? and how do you generally feel with the space in front of the bag whilst trainin, does this restrict your movement?

    Thanks

I have a speed/heavy bag stand from Title. Still trying to figure out how to weigh it down and get it to stop shaking when I used either of the bags. I have 100 pounds in weights i stack on it and can't quite keep it still. Probably need a better swivel for the speed bag.

As far as the movement restriction, I have to reach a lot more if i'm going to move around it. I generally spend more time moving my head and taking small steps to my side but I can't move around it like I can with a hanging heavy bag you'd find at a gym.

I'm selling the Triumph United Heatseeker 1.0s which got rave reviews on sherdog.
PM me if you want it. Good deal especially if you're in the UK since you can't get it here (shipping from USA kills us all).

Could you guys help me with some good headgear that protects the nose and face, could be caged headgear or the crossbar, and I'm willing to spend some money?
