I tried hitting the bag lightly just to warm up with them and they burst!
On second pair of Everlast and had Adidas ones too which weren't as good. You can't beat a real wrap but these are good if you're time-poor,come in handy for gym sessions where you've not got much time.

And if your gloves are in any way neat they're hard to get over.

Hi all. I'm looking to buy a new set of gloves and have narrowed it down to two fairly decent looking pairs:

    [ame]http://www.amazon.co.uk/Everlast-Protex-Evergel-Boxing-Gloves/dp/B0054OARLO/ref=sr_1_53?ie=UTF8&qid=1324995492&sr=8-53[/ame]

If anyone's had any experience with either it would be great to hear from you. Don't be afraid to tell me both are **** because I'm sick of buying gloves that wear out after three or four months. Cheers fellas.

Are you looking for gloves for the bag or sparring?

Out of those 2 I'd go with the probox one at least its made out of cowhide leather and not 'synthetic leather' like Neverlast

Sparring. I'll probably go for the Probox, they have a more robust look about them. I've had everlast before that lasted for ages but I've also had everlast that were punched through within two weeks. Cheers for the reply.

can't believe no one posted anything on proboxing equipment. they're in the los angeles area and sell pretty good equipment for the price. definitely worth checking out if u want quality equipment without high price tags.

    proboxingequipment.com

they supply most of the gyms in l.a. including the wildcard with bags and i believe they guarantee them for life.

Can I get in on this rating...:)

Vanquish Boxing - "Double Wrist Strap Sparring Gloves"

Great pair of double wrist strap sparring gloves, very padded and good for both bag work and sparring work. Very good fit - high quality velcro straps. The first strap that you adjust to your wrist size is elasticated and tucks in the whole wrist area to give a superb unique fit every time! Available in 100z-160z - so good range of weights to get the weight that is perfect for you.

Effectiveness 4/5 - The leather on these gloves is immense, real high quality. As i believe they are just starting out so I don’t think their prices yet reflect how good their products are.

Style 4/5 - Yeah they look good - but pretty standard to be honest, but the double wrist strap looks impressive in the ring. Only negative is that they only come in red at the minute :( i like black!

Durability 4/5 - Double stitched all the way around to make sure they last as long as possible - time will tell how good they are after a few rounds though, but judging by the quality of the leather they should hold up for a while!

Cost 5/5 - £34.99 - For double wrist strap gloves - fantastic price! Like i said, these gloves are worth much more than this price and i think 'Vanquish Boxing' have put their prices down as they have just started out, so grab yours for cheap whilst you can ladies & gentlemen! :thumbsup

before you use sparring gloves put on a pair of "nitrile latex /surgical gloves" then handwraps,it saves a lot of sweat and nitrile gloves don't rip like standard latex, all the sweats contained and no glove lining getting damaged or sweat in padding problem
