Adding weight helps you slow the tempo because you can hold your ground. Getting pushed around or moved by punches is draining.

Fighting at a high tempo with bulging muscles often causes fighters to gas out. See: Joshua.

Joshua’s stamina issues have been due to him being a late starter/not a natural fighter from my view. He’s tense.

Not really. Ike Ibeabuchi had stamina for days.

Irrelevant considering he was using Shannon as an example of a boxer with poor stamina.

How is Joshua a late starter when 16 of his 24 wins ended in the first 3 rounds?

A late starter to boxing. The sentence had context.

Dundee and some other famous trainers reacted to Shilton's methods by saying that weight training just made you slow and stiff.

Peter isn't just muscular, he's got a tire around his waist and a flabby chest. He could easily lose some weight and still be very strong and functional.

Ike is only 6'2 and 250 lbs of muscle. That is not normal for any athlete except power lifters. The fact he can throw dozens of power shots every round at that weight for 12 rounds is very eyebrow raising.
