Rey Vargas looks like he's going to look like Eduard James Olmos in 45 years.

 

Oh yeah. I forgot he used to be skinny. I just keep picturing him from BSG.

 

He's just a different aspect of Nichols, you see, not a distinct person. Kind of like Pruitt Taylor Vince fancying himself John Cusack in that movie Identity.

One day Nichols was flirting with an unsuspecting mother of four in the local bakery, and in his infinite wisdom decided that violently clearing his throat (and dislodging a wad of phlegm squarely on her dolphin-jumping-through-a-rainbow tramp-stamp) and inquiring "Excuse me, that scone yers?" was going to get the Little Worm a taste of the not-so-early bird. As it happens, this was yet another tick in the L column for ol' Dusty.

...but the phonetic array tickled him, and so he'd go around muttering "Scone Yers" until one day, while looking in the mirror and imagining himself to be a much svelter (and blacker) young man with a still-losing record but only 62% losing, not 70 - one that might in fact woo the ladies, he decided that his alter-ego should be named Sconiers. First name Harry, after the handsome beast of & the Hendersons fame. Harold for official official purposes, though nobody outside the IRS except Nana is allowed to call him that.

 

Sometimes writing posts for BE causes the LSD in my spine to reactivate, just temporarily.
