wow i was talking to my dad about this who remembers it happening on live tv.both fighters families where all pro's.

what i find cool is how they are actually fighting and want to fight unlike the mayweather-judah "brawl"

London was crazy to do that although the man in the light grey/brown suit seemed the craziest of the bunch. Was he a boxer by any chance?

Yeah he took 2-3 people out, must have been a boxer.

The first guy that London hit almost did a full flip!

London never once punched with such murderous intentions against Ali or Patterson.

A pity as although he'd have never beaten either in a million years he'd have gained more respect than he has today.

How was Richardson's finishing punches against the German bloke by the way?

The poor bugger was in the middle of a standing 8 count when Dick says "Stuff this" and cleans his clock out :yep

How he wasn't D.Q'd is a mystery at home in Germany.Actually I'm surprised he wasn't lynched.

There's a interview with London from 2008 on there and he says he only ever fought for the money, and not the love of it. He says he was never good enough and didn't want to finish up punch drunk, or have cauliflower ears like his dad. That's why he quit against Ali.

However, he still goes for a 7 mile run everday? Plus boxes in his garage and has a weigh in every sunday...at age 74.

Richardson must have lost it when he went for the German bloke, how as that not a DQ?

Thanks for posting this, I remember it well, there were murders over this extra curricular punchup, funny to hear both guys version of how the fight went.London could be a bully boy and Richardson was fond of throwing the nut in, happy days.

That was absolutely hilarious!!! My grandad used to drink with Jack London (Brian's dad and one time british heavyweight champ too) - my grandad always said Brian London was just a big thug who was always fighting in the boozers in Blackpool but he said Jack London was MUCH the better fighter of the two in the ring

Yeah in the interview with Brian London on there he says he always used to get into fights outside of the ring when he was younger, yet says he has never drunk or smoked his whole life!

Bit of a wild man both inside and outside the ring it seems.

Yeah, that's what I thought from what I've read before.

It made me laugh when he said he still weighs himself every sunday, but didn't really know why

Poor old Brian London...what a timid as a lamb, inept performance he turned in against Ali.
