So what do you guys have for breakfast? It seems we have a lot of fitness fanatics and some guys and girls with great knowledge but just what do you eat in the morning to help you get through an hard days work and then training?

I really struggle eating breakfast. I am no big fan of cereal, toast or all the disgusting stuff that I buy thinking it must be good for me and I really can not be bothered messing around making a smoothie. If I eat anything it will be some fruit, maybe a couple of banana's and the odd apple and orange with maybe some beef jerky or cooked chicken. I am English so I also need the odd cup of tea.

I know it is supposed to be THE important meal of the day so any advice on foods that will help me along with my training? If anyone wants to tell me that bacon sandwiches are good for me I will be eternally grateful.

Since I'm not training right now, I eat pretty much anything :D .

But a good Breakfast for me would probably be Oatmeal, Eggs, Fruit, and Whole Wheat Toast.

3-4 egg omelete with unions, bacon and cheese. Few pieces of fruit and a protein shake. Lasts me about 3 hours before I'm hungry again.

Try to include whole grains, protein and fruit:

Low fat yogurt with fresh fruit and a little bit of cereal or granola on top.

    or

Whole wheat toast with peanut butter and a banana

    or

Oatmeal with dried fruit and nuts and a glass of milk.

    ...and black coffee. :D

Mc morning meal followed by a chocolate brownie and a half gallon of coke instead of coffee, and a chips and icecream smoothie.

9 Weet-bix with a banana cut up on top, plus sugar.

Fills me up, nothing else necessary. Usually have some kind of juice too.
