What are your thoughts on this fight?

Personally, I'm really thinking Marquez is going to pull off something spectacular. I don't think the weight advantage is going to be anywhere near as sigifnicant as a lot of people are suggesting. I believe Floyd's long period of inactivity will be more of a factor.

Obviously, DLH has an agenda, but I think his analysis is spot on:

These are the recent training camp pics of Marquez, best shape I've seen him in....

I agree the weight difference will have almost no bearing on the outcome. However what will have a massive influence is that Floyd is a technically better fighter in almost every department.
I expect either a mid-late stoppage win or a complete points shut out for Floyd.

    Can't wait!!

I really think JMM will give Mayweather all sorts of problems. I also agree that Mayweather's layoff may play a big part in this. Regardless of all the cherry picking talk from some people, JMM is a very hard first fight back. I'll be pulling for JMM all the way, but at the end of the day I'm not sure he will have enough to grab the win.

If he does though it will truly be something amazing!!

I think this is a bridge too far for Marquez.

I just wished he got the chance of the 3rd fight with Pacquiao, so the truth can finally be told, having been ripped off twice.

Anything to shut up that annoying **** of a trainer, Dr Roach.

Don't know if anyone noticed, but out of coincidence then is an earlier pic of JMM in my signature, compare it to the new pics, there is a huge difference in the upper body!

JMM has always been ripped, but now he's very muscular, if they can maintain his speed and timing, and Floyd is rusty, I think JMM can 'shock the world' :bbb

I'm going for Floyd to scrape through on points. He's going to be faced with his toughest fight since Castillio.

DLH always predicts that Floyd is going to lose.

I'm very much looking forward to the fight.

DLH's constant playing down of Mayweather's ability is bit tiresome. It's all unfounded conjecture, such as the two year gap and being in his thirties etc.

    Mayweather is a different breed.

I know that you like them both very much, but why would you not want this fight to happen!?

I don't really see the lay-off affecting Floyd too much, but I still expect Marquez to give him a good fight. Marquez still seems to have carried his speed up to the weight and he looks to have grown into the weight as well.

Its going to be closer than what some people think.

i see on the general that some say its a pointless mismatch and are going on like its an abominiation to boxing but i am looking forward to it. marquez combinations can be fluent and magical although i assume mayweather will be the heavy betting favourite............but you never know on the night.

sorry but i think floyd stops him mid to late rounds. I think the weight will be a big factor and as said, a bridge too far for Marquez who will be opened up towards the end. I had tickets for this fight on the original date, still gutted.

I respect them both for taking it and it will be a good fight though.
