any one rember the light mid weight s in braitin in 2000 on sky tv steve roberts richard willams and wyane alexander and arny farrnel it a shame they never fought each other they were all good level euro alexander was brit and euro champ and fought wbo champ simon roberts wbf willams ibo and cominweath and farrnel wbu who was the best:bbb
williams i reckon. he'd have done the best in the head to head. roberts lacked substance for me. pretty on the outside but williams would have wore him down. :!: would have outlasted alexander in a good one. :bbb and been too good for farnell and taks.
those were da days.....ahhhhhhhhh Weren't these boys badly mis managed in the end. Richard Williams on his way to going onto maybe the world scene and getting a shot...gets put in with a one Sergio Martinez who no one thought anything of...if only they knew. Roberts was a nice southpaw...fought a rather average european and got beat...and really never came back from it and jacked it in after a poor display which was a shame. Lockett done well after his loss he faded into obscurity to then come again and get a shot at Pavlik. Wayne Alexander looked like a fish out of water boxing but once he landed it was lights out. Such a shame injuries and maybe taking the Simon fight at short notice knocked what could of been and maybe should been a better career. Takaloo as well remember when he went to the velodrome to beat Arnie...fantastic performance. Farnell never in a bad fight....he was a great tv fighter for sure. Great days..just a shame that wrong choices and injuries scuppered there careers.
