Obviously I don't have much pro fights to go on....but looked average to me.

My opinion differ's Flea, I thought of all that crop of fighters that turned pro around that time, he had the style more suited to the pro game?

 

4 out of 6 as far as I know, not great for amateur stuff though.


Anyways, if what is said is true and he was under-prepared going into his fight with Bernard Dunne, what if Ricardo Cordoba was prepared? He would've won of course(no controversy intended, I actually really like Dunne and he's one of the few Irish fighters from recent years I actually rate, just feel Maestrito is the better fighter), but I'm talking afterwards, he wouldn't have been made an opponent for Rigo IMO, was there the possibility for a Caballero rematch? Poonsawat would have been his mandatory, would he have finally been able to show that he was the superior fighter after not been given a decision he deserved years earlier? It was a pretty stacked division and he's not one to duck a challenge, considering he had a belt and is always willing to travel it wouldn't have been likely that he wouldn't have secured any big fights, and at only 24/25 he could've had a few. How good could he have been if not for that Irish git basically.

 

What if Cotto didn't low blow Zab when he was getting his ass kicked and lost the fight via stoppage in the 3rd.

What if Pascal didn't land that hail mary headbut on Chad and got stopped in the 11th?

Leonard would have beat him anyway - he had Duran figured out by then.

Morales would have made roadkill of Hamed..... wouldn't have been a pretty sight at all.

I'm not sure Froch would have been destroyed, but I think Taylor would have been more confident for his future fights. Without Froch blowing the division wide open I think the S6 wouldn't have happened. Both the WBC and American TV wanted Taylor as the champion.

Can't really predict where the division would have gone had that happened. Might be worth a thread.

He'd have done alright, but there wasn't much evidence to go on other than him being good enough to blow away a couple of Eurobums.

And Sad would still have lost to Pascal. And would lose again in a rematch. And a third fight. Pascal is just better, and has the right style to beat Sad.

He'd have still been found out against one of the Fab Four.

He's lucky he didn't get Marquez, he'd have been annihilated and probably pulled by his own corner. Not good for the ego that, I wouldn't imagine :yep

A focused Duran doesn't fare any better Leonard had him figured out and would have come on strong in the later rounds and taken a close but clear decision pulling away in the championship rounds

Erik schools Naz just as bad as Barrera probably puts him down a few times as well for good measure.

I think Taylor would have taken confidence from the win and fought better in his next fights but he was probably ultimately going to run into Ward sooner or later and with the quality at SMW wouldn't have held onto his belt for too long if defending against decent opposition. S6 may not have happened might have had a little American version of it. Taylor Green Dirrell and Ward.

If Darren Sutherland was still around I think he probably would be at domestic level by now Maloney would certainly have fed Jeffries to him by now :deal Probably could have fought an entertaining fight with Groves. Would be in or around the domestic mix.

 

What if Calzaghes hands & wrists were never plagued by injury?

What if Teddy Atlas had stayed with Cus D'Amato & taught Tyson some self-control & discipline?

What if Valero had been wearing a crash-helmet when he had his bike accident?

What if Benitez was truly dedicated to training?

What if Calzaghes hands & wrists were never plagued by injury? Not too much difference fights a few more opponents gets a few more knockouts but nothing significant changes either way

What if Teddy Atlas had stayed with Cus D'Amato & taught Tyson some self-control & discipline? Doesnt make a blind bit of difference Tyson does Tyson things in any environment really he has/had? a manipulative personality that was prone to self destruction
