Norton got beaten be Williams on a controversal decision. He should have been eligible for a rematch, but had know chance as he stinks the place out. Conquest was lined up for the first defence, but missed out through illness. McPhilbin stepped in, but defended against Enzo instead. Enzo is champ, but the board rightly are reviewing the fight. However will he fight at CW again? Will he relinquish? Why is there an eliminator between Dickinson & Askin when both should have got straight shots ? This is also for the vacant English belt Shane Cameron won the commonwealth belt last July, but has yet to defend. If he was stripped or defend against a Brit it may assist with the fixture congestion. How do you see it panning out?
1. Enzo either vacates or gets knocked out in a rematch with McPhilbin. 2. Askin will beat Dickinson & then spank McPhilbin to win the title. 3. Simmons vs Conquest will fight Askin after that 4. Danny Price ends up beating all of them There are plenty of good fights to be made at cruiser :bbb
I think Cruiserweight is great at the moment. After 18 months of inactivity it is now a wide open division where I think we're going to get to see all the fights we want. Askin-Dickinson and Conquest-Simmons are terrific fights for eliminators. From a Boxnation point of view I'm sure they are desperate to keep the belt in their stable so think they may encourage Enzo to not vacate at least long enough for a Boxnation fighter to be nominated
havent paid much attention to this weight category but just watched enzo fight and he wont be around for much longer or certainly shouldnt be anyway very luck in that first round
A lot of good fights to be had at CW domestically, a combination of the below would be great over the rest of the year; Askin Conquest Simmons Dickinson Miles (;-))
Considering how stagnant the division has been for about the last five years (domestically), it's great to see it come alive with a few promising prospects coming through the ranks.
This just about chokes me to say it but I actually feel sorry for Rob Norton, he got jobbed and then frozen out.
Aye, does leave a bad taste in the mouth. There were plenty celebrating in the RbR when he got jobbed, me being one of them, because of his non-fan friendly style, but he deserves to atleast get a crack at the belt again.
