the british fans were incredible when Hatton fought Floyd

No one is making fun of British fighters, it's just banter

But to see so many Brits try to belitter American fighters, that's just really funny.

They just don't realize that America rules boxing, always have and of course always will.

We've been at the top and we're still at the top. It ain't changing here while British boxing is at the low end of the spectrum in comparison. (No offense)

What, during their own anthem ? :huh

    We're not discussing Africans.
I'm no expert on African hooliganism so I can't comment on that. :rofl

You're in denial if you haven't noticed the hooliganism and disrespect shown by a significant portion of British crowds at boxing.
Riots have broken out before simply because the foreign fighter beat our boy, so I'd guess they'd be big trouble if the a thousand foreigners came to disrespect the anthem. But of course, it's unlikely to happen, because it's a British thing to do that.

I've never seen anything like it... How they followed Hatton around in massive numbers. One of the most dedicated fanbases in all of boxing.

The British have always been very disrespectful to America and American fighters. The Anthem booing, the bottles thrown at Hagler and his team... It's kind of disgusting

They tried to murder Hagler in there. Those bottles could have killed people.

    [yt]CfcxEHcP-Zw[/yt]

I hope they feel regret for their insensitive actions.

I agree that some of the extremely BLINDLY nationalistic and non-objective British fans can get annoying, but not all of them are like that. There are quite a few British posers on here who speak out against those kinds of fans, and express their annoyance with them. Brit****= annoying, extremely biased and blindly nationalistic British boxing fans, not all of them!

The point is had you said the same about Africans, you'd be called a racist. Just highlighting you're ignorance is all. You hardly seem an expert on British hooliganism either, so you'd be best off refraining from commenting on that too :rofl:patsch

Cite some references please. I'll help you out with one - Hagler/Minter. Show me more :hey:yep

Anybody who actually gives a **** about their national anthem so much that they take offense if somebody 'disrespects' it are an absolute joke in themselves. Nobody would give a **** if you boo'd our national anthem. Hell, one of the most popular and iconic songs of all time is "God Save the Queen" by the *** Pistols.

I guess Brits should be a little more mindful of the brittle skin of the yanks and avoid any hurt feelings

Who displayed a glass chin in this fight again? Oh yaa, was a Brit. It's funny seeing people taking about American glass chins in a thread about Ricky Hatton, who had his china cracked several times over, the first time by an American. Accept it. :hi:

The 1980s and 90s was the heyday of the British boxing hooliganism. But it goes back further.

Hagler wasn't the only fighter to suffer, and it was unfortunate that such a great fighter remembered Britain like that and still comments on the injustice of it to this day.

There were similar scenes when Witherspoon beat Bruno in Wembley, the fans upset and throwing seats and bottles and anything they could get their hands on.

Fact of the matter is: I think the British fans are clearly salty about the fact that their fighters just aren't as dominate as ours and that's why they always have to do these kinds of things to garner attention.

    Hagler/Minter
    Floyd/Hatton
Countless other times when they boo our anthem.

It's actually very very very disheartening. Those Brits are so classless..

When Lewis was fighting and dominating, they didn't do anything. Hm I wonder why :think

Whatever do you mean? You can go interpret it as you wish.

Fact is: It's clear as day that many British fans are insecure about many of their own fighters, that's why they always have to do these things like attempted murder, nationalistic disrespect etc etc.

We don't even play the national anthem here. People tend not to be nationalistic, patriotic re****s unlike the fatties across the pond.

The booing was more likely a result of having to wait an extra 3 minutes before the ****ing fight starts :rofl

Yes a lot of them have acted a damn fool from time to time

But at least our fans aren't known for trying to murder boxers in the arena.

What a classless/scummy thing to do.

Trying to murder people because of the loss.

    :patsch:patsch

Listen British fans are unbiased, don't play favourites and tell it like it is. It seems as though Americans fans on average tend to be more nationalistic and biased.

Fact is you don't get our mentality. You support brands and undefeated fighters. We support are boxers through wins and defeats. I travelled to America to watch hatton. You prob have never been out our house to watch a fight. Brits spank the yanks for support. Fact. Always remember them songs to mayweather.....your suppose to be at home!! (As in the home fight)
