Well Louis wasn't a fast mover in the ring. Wilder could just box him from the outside as he did with Stiverne.
You're really comparing Louis to Stiverne? pathetic.... also Louis wasnt a backfoot fighter like stiverne, so theres no way that would happen. it would be a shoot out and one that Louis would have easily won.
Yes i do, the scenario wouldn't be to different... Two short plodders with counter punching as specialities against a tall mover. Stiverne is like Louis also very skilled but it means nothing when you cant reach your opponent. Aside from the similarities, Stiverne has also a much better chin than Louis, in fact I see Stiverne as a modern and upgraded version of the historically Joe Louis. Wilder either KO or UD.
Joe Louis an his non existent defense after the jab. If Schmelling could time it from inside, I'd imagine that Wilder, with his 15" reach advantage could as well. Wilder KO1.atschatschatsch
I'd reckon Louis would find a way to win, but his small ass would need to be extra careful, Louis had a glass jaw and Wilder with his enormous reach advantage could pose a problem. Wilder might be a hypejob but he'd be a huge ass guy with power against a small cw from an overrated era
Plodder? Glass Jaw? Overrated? There should be a minimum age to post on this site...we have too many 12 year olds posting. Louis by KO. I'm not a believe that all the old guys were stupendous, but Louis wins here easily against any HW except for Wlad. He would have had issues with Lennox Lewis as well. And most likely Holyfield.
Joe Louis would be a small and glass jawed version of todays Stiverne if he fought in this era. 199 pounds is nothing today. and on top of that he couldn't even move very good. Ali's ****ysis of him - "he moves like a mummy"
