Impressive performance by Tzysu last night. Like all sons that participate in this sport he will forever be compared to his father who I don't he is even half as good as. He certainly came off as an ass in his post fight interview and is nowhere near as likeable as his pops.

With that said, one similarity is the brutality of their right hands which are very different. Koysta had one of the greatest straight right hands of all-time. Tim doesn't really throw much of straight right hand but he certainly likes to hook and throw uppercuts with it. He's going to be fun to watch but at some point he is going to get humbled by someone that will use his aggression against him.

Just curious what others think will be the ceiling for him? I think he ultimately ends up at 160 with the frame he has. I thinknhe will win a belt at some point but will fall far short of being a ATG like his dad.

I think I saw a post on here from somebody who said he was BETTER than his dad!

Proving that you can never underestimate the acumen of the modern internet boxing fan!

Now that is crazy talk but then again, I have seen people post crazier stuff on here. Pappa Tzysu was a way more versatile fighter and one of the greatest ever at 140.

I wonder if it has to do with the age of the short attention span that we're in? Everything happens faster now it seems and instant gratification is the norm. It certainly has to have had an effect on the way modern day fans think about these things.

When I was a young boxing fan, we only really discussed these comparisons when a fighter was at the end/near the end of their careers.

Tszyu has improved tremendous. But one thing he lacks is his father's dynamite power. Him and Nakita are spitting image of their pop. Nakita looks to have the power but in saying that he Tim does have a respectable power in both left and right. Specially when he digs them to boody indeed.

His lady friend seemed pretty foul mouthed aswell, post fight. I hadn't noticed her before, she sure wanted to get on camera also.

He could have did without all that and been fine, but it must have been something that bothered him" being compared to his dad" and he felt that it was necessary. To others its like, what was all that about? That may be one of the main things that motivate him.

Yeah, saw them get interviewed a couple years back together. They seemed real close, good relationship. Tim did mention that Kostya was really hard/strict on them though. I guess it was Kostya upbringing in Russia etc that moulded him. Plus, Kostya is not with Tims mum Natasha anymore right? Yeah, gotta be something in that, Kostya not attending his fights?

He would lose to all the top 140 pounders today. I also think Crawford would've stopped him
